Marcelo Matos
Marcelo is a senior executive with over 20 years experience in international business in areas such as business development, mergers and acquisitions, marketing and sales, strategic planning, and project development.
He has a long and successful career in the mining and metals sector, and has lived in Brazil, China, Singapore and Australia. He is currently the Chief Commercial Officer for M Resources, a Brisbane based company involved in investments, marketing, and trading with focus on metallurgical coal. He has also had a long career with diversified mining giant Vale, and his last role with the company was as global Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for one of the commodity product groups, and was also the Managing Director and Country Manager of their Australia group of companies, responsible for operations and projects in the Queensland and New South Wales.
Marcelo is Brazilian born and also an Australian citizen. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (Hons) and a MBA with major in Corporate Finance, with extensive executive leadership development training including in MIT (Boston) and in IMD (Lausanne). He brings to our team a wealth of international and cross-cultural business experience.
